Alright, so I’m resurrecting this blog! There’s too much not to share! One really cool new thing, my co-worker’s patient shared with her was that her son started a little website/company that is similar to w00t but there’s a bit of a catch. So, daily there is a business featured that is offering a discount (like a $20 gift card for $10). The minimum requirement of purchases must be reached before this discount is valid. If the minimum is not met, then the deal is invalid and you don’t get the deal nor will you be charged for it. So, it’s the idea of getting a group discount, but you don’t need to come up with the group yourself.
It’s based in San Francisco, but coming to East Bay soon. I love this idea since I like finding new places and the added discount only makes it more enticing! This seems to be a great resource for us who like to go on eating and exploring outings!

I think I had just about committed creativity suicide. I don’t know what that statement really means, but in the past several years, it’s been gone. I use to think that I was pretty creative and had a good eye for things. Then…I got busy and became practical. I don’t know what happened, but I need to resurrect the once free flowing creativity of my youth (crap…yes I do feel old). Perhaps it has to do with the way I relate to God. For a time I loved singing even if the only one who would appreciate it is the Lord, cause it would be man-awful indeed! For a time I found myself very resourceful in creating new things out of junk. Now I find that I think I do things that matter to people more than I do it for God. I think I’ve become increasing pragmatic and less of a dreamer. I miss the dreamer. I miss getting lost in meditating on God’s beauty and glory and how tearfully joyful I can be because of His love. With all this to consider, I must shoot more. I don’t know what I’m looking for when I shoot photos anymore. What I do want to find are the simple blessings and enjoyment God intended for His people. I want to look at photos and think, “God is sovereign. ” He planned that one.” I guess… I want to start taking pictures that show people GOD is ALIVE. God is in this situation and he brings everlasting joy. I want people to be reminded of this or to see it for the first time. I want God to be worshiped in this way. Maybe in taking a 1000 pictures, I can know the Lord better. But, I look forward to the day I can toss all these aside and be overwhelmed in His presence! Just as a photo does little justice in comparison to being with that person; so are the glimpses, blessings and image-bearers pale in comparison to the full knowledge of the Lord.

I just think this photo is awesome!

This weekend I went again to the Huckleberry Trail! This time some of them berries were ready to eat! What a tart-tastic treat! I like this trail because in the summertime it is still shady and very much a comfortable hike! It’s always fun to go with good company too!

Our church is having a joint retreat with Wellspring and Christ Church SF! Our speaker is Mark Altrogge! Who?? Well let me refresh your memory of the possibly 80′s, but definitely the 90′s for me singing in youth group and also on Sunday mornings the song “I Stand in Awe!” For sure this is one of those worship songs that is deeply embedded into my memory and of the few, to this day I still love singing!

So, this is for the person who tries to figure people out and put them into a category called myers briggs. I think that in some ways, seeing people in these categories is helpful to learn how to better love and communicate with people. However, I still struggle with the darn thing, because people cannot be placed into a category. I wonder if people can move from one personality trait to another over time. Well in any case, this chart kinda helps you understand your personal interaction with another personality type. Fairly helpful, but at the same time, seriously, ask that person questions be honest and pray.
